Spring 1st + 2nd Grade: Intro to Lacrosse

Our Girls 1st + 2nd Grade In Town program is designed to introduce players to fundamental lacrosse skills through drills building up to live play (scrimmaging at the end of each practice and scheduling "games" with neighboring towns). The focus of the clinic style practices is FUN! Sessions are held on Sunday mornings for 8 weeks, beginning the first week in April.

3rd - 8th Grade League Play

3rd - 8th grade players participate in the Founder's Lacrosse League (FGLL), an instructional league that focuses on player development while having fun. Teams are dual grades and are created with the goal of balanced teams across grade/school/ability. Practices are held Tuesday + Thursday early evenings, with games on Sundays (game times vary).  The outdoor season begins the first week in March  and runs to early June (Spring Game Schedules are released mid-March. 
**As part of the Spring registration, players are invited to attend a handful of preseason Indoor clinics at The Edge (Bedford), in late Feb/early March (dates/times distributed in early February)**

Games

•  3rd/4th games are played 7v7 (+ Goalie) on a smaller field with modified rules.

•  5th/6th and 7th/8th games are played 11 v 11 (+ Goalie) on a full field.

5th - 8th Spring Select

The Select program offers players in grades 5th - 8th the opportunity to play in a highly competitive league.Tryouts are held indoors mid-March, and are run by independent evaluators.  If there are enough players at the Select level (this is not a given and changes year over year), there is one select team at 5th/6th and one at 7th/8th. Players must participate in the Spring League program (attending at least one practice per week + 50% of games) to be eligible for Spring Select. The teams have one additional weekday practice and Friday night games.
